I would like to introduce a tofu dish recipe that is cooked with century eggs. If you like to eat century eggs, I am sure you will like this chinese dish!
For those who might not know what are century eggs, they are actually normal eggs that have been fermented. This is what gives century egg that special taste. If you have never try century eggs before, this century egg tofu dish might leave you wanting for more!
Ingredients:
Silken tofu 300 gram
Century egg 2
Green chilli 2
Minced garlic 1 tablespoon
Seasonings:
Vinegar 1 tablespoon
Light soy sauce 1 tablespoon
Sesame oil 1 tablespoon
Sugar 1/2 tablespoon
Method:
1. Cut tofu into small pieces and place on a plate.
2. Cut century egg into pieces.
3. Place century egg and green chili on tofu. The green chilli gives the dish a refreshing taste and breaks up the monotony of the century eggs and tofu taste.
4. Mixed minced garlic and seasonings and pour over tofu.
5. Use aluminium foil to cover the tofu and steam over medium heat for 5 minutes. This is to prevent condensed water droplets from dripping onto the dish and diluting the taste.
Preparation time : 5 minutes
Cooking time : 5 minutes
