Steamed tofu with mushrooms and chinese ham recipe

This is another easy chinese recipe. Do you know how long to steam tofu? You only need 1o minutes to steam the tofu! This healthy chinese dish can be served in 15 minutes! It is a perfect recipe for working mums.

Ingredients:
Silken tofu       1 box (300 gram)
Mushrooms     5
Chinese ham   200 gram

Seasonings:
Oyster sauce      2 tablespoon
Sesame oil         1 tablespoon
Sugar                 1 tablespoon
Tapioca starch   1 tablespoon

Method:
1. Boil the chinese ham in a pot of water over low heat for 3 minutes. This is to remove its saltiness. Cut the ham into small pieces.

2. Slice the tofu.

3. Soak mushrooms in hot water, remove the stems and cut into halves.

4. Lay tofu, chinese ham and mushrooms on the plate.

5. Steam the tofu for 10 minutes. Remember not to steam the tofu over high heat as the surface of the tofu will not be smooth!

6. Bring all seasonings to a boil.

7. Pour the seasonings on the tofu before serving.

Preparation time    : 5 minutes
Cooking time         : 10 minutes
