Even though they are cheap and healthy, it does not mean they are tasteless. With this tofu and bean sprouts recipe that I am about to show you, you will be able to cook up a tasty and healthy chinese dish in no time at all!
Ingredients:
Tofu 300 gram
Bean sprout 300 gram
Spring onion 2 stalks
chili 2
salted vegetables 100 gram
Shrimps 50 gram
Minced garlic 1 tablespoon
Seasonings:
Light soy sauce 1 tablespoon
Pepper 1/2 tablespoon
Method:
1. Soak tofu in salted water. This is to prevent tofu from sticking onto the frying pan during frying.
2. Cut tofu into long slices.
3. Rinse bean sprouts and remove the roots. Soak salted vegetables in water. Cut spring onion, chili and salted vegetables into shreds. Shell shrimps.
4. Heat some oil and pan-fry tofu till golden brown. Remember to dry tofu with napkins before frying!
5. Use 1 tablespoon of oil to fry minced garlic till fragrant. Add salted vegetables to fry.
6. Put shrimps and bean sprout to fry for a while. Add chili and fry well.
7. Lay stir-fried bean sprouts on pan-fried tofu.
Preparation time : 20 minutes (It took me quite a while to remove the roots of bean sprouts!)
Cooking time : 15 minutes
