Steamed beef with ikan bilis recipe

This is another easy chinese recipe.

Beef                       500 gram
Ikan bilis                50 gram
Shredded ginger   1 tablespoon
Chilli slices            1 tablespoon

Oyster sauce     1 tablespoon
Sugar                 1 tablespoon
Water                 1 tablespoon
Potato starch     2 tablespoon (to be added later)

Sugar           1/2 tablespoon
Pepper         1/2 tablespoon
Fish sauce   1 tablespoon

1. Cut beef against the grain into slices. Add Marinade and set aside for 15 minutes. Add potato starch and mix well. Place on a steaming plate.

2. Clean ikan bilis and cook in boiling water.

3. Cut ginger into shreds.

4. Cut chilli into slices.

5. Drain well, add Seasonings, ginger and chilli. Place on top of the beef.

6. Bring water in the steamer to a boil. Steam beef over high heat for 7 minutes.

Preparation time: 5 minutes
Marinade time   : 15 minutes
Cooking time      : 7 minutes
