Steamed locos with ham and mushrooms recipe

This easy chinese recipe allows you to cook a chinese dish within 10 minutes!

Locos                                 1 can
Dried chinese mushroom  6
Ham                                  12 slices
Stock                                 200 mililitre
Potato starch                     1 tablespoon

Oyster sauce        1/2  tablespoon
Light soy sauce    1/2 tablespoon
Sugar                   1/2 tablespoon
Sesame oil           1/2 tablespoon

1. Slant cut locos into 4 pieces and place on a steaming plate.

2. Sock dried chinese mushrooms, remove the stems and cut into halves.

3. Cut ham into 4 pieces.

4. Sandwich two slices of locos with a slice of mushroom and ham each. Bring water in the steamer to a boil. Steam locos over high heat for 5 minutes. Remove and drain away the steaming liquid. Reserve the liquid.

5. Add stock and Seasonings to the steaming liquid, bring to a boil. Thicken with potato starch mixture. Add in sesame oil to cook briefly. Pour the sauce over the locos to serve.

Preparation time: 5 minutes
Cooking time      : 5 minutes

When thickening the sauce, potato starch mixture must be added gradually, keep stirring as you add the mixture until you get the desired thickness. Do not overcook sesame oil as it will lose its fragrance.
